Requesting New Features

All requests can be sent via EMail to modeler@easysw.com or via telephone. EMail is preferred to avoid confusion and to ensure that an accurate record of the request is kept.

Currently Planned Features

• Support for the OpenFlightTM file format!
• Grouping and Ungrouping of Objects
  In version 2.0, and it will be limited to 1 level of grouping.
• Revolve and Extrude of Multiple Lines and Polygons
  Version 2.0 will support this since there isn't any reason not to.
• Deletion of Points
  Version 2.0 will allow deletion of individual points (vertices) in an object.
• Undo
  Version 2.0 will have a limited 'undo' functionality to undo the latest changes to an object.
• CSG Tools
  In version 2.0 and will work for any polyline, polygon, or other shape you manage to come up with.
• DXF Import Optimization
  Maybe in version 2.0, and it will basically combine faces into quad-strips or triangle meshes as appropriate.
• Texture Support
  Versions 1.0 and 1.1 have texture support in the file format. Version 2.0 will include a texture editor in the Modeler program itself. Right now textures must be B&W or RGBA images.
• Built-In Animation and Ray-Tracing
  Possibly as soon as version 2.0. Ray-tracing to include sub-sampling for higher-quality images. We'll probably stick a generic scripting language in for the animation stuff to allow for file I/O and so forth.
